Is Candy Shorts free? Partly, and the free part is bigger than most people expect. Episode 1 of every public series plays on candy.ai with no sign-up at all. Episode 2 is free once you open a free account. From Episode 3 on, each episode costs tokens.
That is a genuine way in. You can press play on Episode 1 without handing over an email address or a card, and decide for yourself whether the series earns your next step. Everything below shows exactly how far free goes and what the rest costs.
Searching for free Candy Shorts links? Skip the search results. The free episodes live on Candy itself, and our how to watch guide walks you to them.
Candy lists 171 public series, and you get two free episodes on each of them before a single token changes hands.
On a five-episode series such as Couples Therapy With Margot Vey, that means you only pay for the last three episodes. On a 30-episode series like YES MA'AM, you watch the first two episodes for nothing and judge whether the other 28 are worth your tokens.
The smartest way to use the free tier is to spend nothing until a series has earned it:
That order protects you from paying for a premise that turns out not to be your thing. Our Candy Shorts review has the wider verdict on whether the whole thing is worth it.
Not in the same way. Candy marks 17 of its series as members-only. You can see them with a free account, but the free-episode rule does not apply: Episodes 1 and 2 cost 0 tokens, yet you need Premium to watch them. After that, each episode costs 30 or 50 tokens, depending on the series.
So the free route runs through the 171 public series. Because we score only what we can watch free, members-only series carry no rating on this site. If one catches your eye, treat Premium as a deliberate purchase rather than a free trial, and browse the public catalog on our series page first.
Public series charge 12 or 30 tokens for each paid episode, depending on the series. Members-only series charge 30 or 50. Premium includes 100 tokens a month, and the cheapest way in we can find on Candy's price page is the first month at $9.99.
Here is what finishing a public series looks like once you are past the two free episodes:
One month of Premium and its 100 tokens therefore finishes any one of the five-episode series. The 30-episode run is a longer commitment, because 336 tokens is well beyond a single month's allowance.
If your goal is simply to finish one series as cheaply as possible, pick a 12-token title, take the $9.99 first month and note the renewal date, since the price moves to $13.99 after that. Longer plans lower the monthly rate, but they only make sense once you know you will keep watching.
The plans on candy.ai/subscriptions are $9.99 for the first month and then $13.99; $26.97 every three months ($8.99 a month); or $47.88 a year ($3.99 a month). Plans renew automatically, and Candy says you can cancel any time in settings. Charges show as "EverAI", the name of the Malta-based company behind Candy, EverAI Limited. Our price page has the full breakdown.
Nothing worth the risk. The only legitimate source for Candy Shorts is Candy. Pages that promise free full episodes, whole series in one go or a “free unlocked account” are re-uploads that are partial, fake or scams. At best you get a fragment. At worst you hand your details to a stranger. Either way, the episode you wanted is still on Candy.
The free, legal way in is already generous: Episode 1 with no sign-up and Episode 2 with a free account. If you want the longer explanation, read our pages on full episodes and leak claims, or check whether Candy Shorts is safe. Because it plays in your browser, there is nothing to install; the app guide shows how to put it on your phone's home screen.
Every public series has the same free tier, so pick by premise. These seven make strong first picks, and all characters are adults:

How to choose? If you want a short commitment, any of the five-episode, 12-token series gets you from the free opening to the finale for 36 tokens. If you want a long story, YES MA'AM gives you 30 episodes. If you just want to see whether Candy Shorts suits you, any of them works, because Episode 1 costs nothing.
Pick one, open it on Candy and press play on Episode 1. The rest of the catalog is on our series page.

Partly. On every public series, Episode 1 plays with no sign-up and Episode 2 is free with a free Candy account. From Episode 3 on, episodes cost tokens, 12 or 30 depending on the series, and Premium includes 100 tokens a month. Members-only series are different: they need Premium from Episode 1.
Two per public series: Episode 1 with no sign-up and Episode 2 with a free account. Candy lists 171 public series, and that free start is on each of them. Members-only series do not follow this rule, because their Episodes 1 and 2 need Premium even though they cost 0 tokens.
No. Episode 1 of a public series plays with no sign-up, so there is no account to create and nothing to pay. Episode 2 needs a free account. Payment only comes into the picture if you later choose Premium to unlock the paid episodes.
No. Episode 3 is the first paid episode on a public series. It costs 12 or 30 tokens depending on the series, and each series page shows its exact price. On a members-only series, paid episodes cost 30 or 50 tokens. Premium includes 100 tokens a month.
No. Members-only series are visible with a free account, but their Episodes 1 and 2 need Premium even though they cost 0 tokens. Later episodes cost 30 or 50 tokens each. For a free start, choose one of the 171 public series instead.
Not in any way you can rely on. The only legitimate source is Candy. Pages offering free full episodes elsewhere are partial, fake or scams. The free, legal route is Episode 1 with no sign-up and Episode 2 with a free account.
