Step 1: Open a series and play Episode 1

Pick any public series and press play on Episode 1. No sign-up is needed. It is the free test drive: you see the look, the pacing and the premise before Candy asks you for anything.

While it plays, ask yourself three things. Does the premise grab you? Does the look feel polished, from the sets to the lighting? And do you want to know what happens next? Two yeses are a good sign. Three means Episode 2 is already calling.

Step 2: Make a free account for Episode 2

Episode 2 is free with a free account. Sign up on Candy, go back to the series and press play. After two episodes you know how the series sets up its premise and where the first turn lands, and you have spent no tokens. Sign up only on Candy itself. No other site can unlock an episode for you, and a page that asks for your login or card in exchange for episodes is a scam.

Step 3: Use Premium and tokens from Episode 3 onward

From Episode 3 on, every episode costs tokens. On public series a paid episode costs 12 or 30 tokens, depending on the series. Costs are listed per episode, so you can stop after any one of them. Premium includes 100 tokens a month, and the plans are:

• Monthly: $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99 a month.
• Three months: $26.97 every 3 months ($8.99 a month).
• Twelve months: $47.88 a year ($3.99 a month).

Plans renew automatically, and Candy says you can cancel any time in settings. Candy is run by EverAI Limited, a Malta company, and charges show as "EverAI". Our price page lays the plans out side by side.

To see what a series asks for, look at three examples. Lodge 69 Was Double Booked costs 36 tokens to finish. My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom charges 30 tokens per paid episode, which comes to 90 tokens to finish. The 30-episode YES MA'AM takes 336 tokens.

How do you watch members-only series?

A small group of series is members-only. With a free account you can see them listed, but you need Premium to play them. Episodes 1 and 2 cost 0 tokens but still need Premium, and later episodes cost 30 or 50 tokens each, depending on the series.

Because you can't sample them for free, we don't score them. We rate only what we can watch free. If you are new to Candy, start with a public series, get a feel for the style, and move up to a members-only title once you know you want it. Our overall review gives the bigger picture.

Can you watch Candy Shorts on a phone or on desktop?

Yes, with one caveat. Candy Shorts play on candy.ai, and the three steps above are the same on a phone browser and a desktop browser. Candy doesn't publish a separate guide for each device, so we won't promise more than that.

How do you spend fewer tokens?

The free episodes do the heavy lifting here. A few habits keep the bill small:

• Judge by Episodes 1 and 2. They cost no tokens. If the hook doesn't land, drop the series and spend nothing.
• Pick by our scores. Spend tokens on the series whose story and visuals scores match what you like, not on whatever is newest.
• Check the price per episode. A five-episode series at 12 tokens per paid episode takes 36 tokens to finish. The same length at 30 tokens takes 90.
• Save members-only for later. They need Premium even for Episodes 1 and 2, and later episodes cost 30 or 50 tokens.
• Do the plan math. Monthly is $13.99 after the first month, while the yearly plan works out to $3.99 a month. Yearly only wins if you will keep using Candy all year.
