BAD Step-Sister With Daisy Brannock: Story, Episodes, Cost

BAD Step-Sister is a five-episode Candy Shorts series with Daisy Brannock, set across one summer in a shared apartment. Episode 1 plays on Candy with no sign-up, and Episode 2 is free with a free account, so you can test the setup before you spend a token.

It is an animated series, which sets it apart from the live-action titles around it. If a summer secret in tight quarters sounds like your kind of story, this page covers the premise, the token bill and what Episode 1 looks like.

What is BAD Step-Sister about?

Candy's synopsis reads: “Daisy spends the summer in her step-brother's apartment, twenty feet from his girlfriend, turning a wedding-night secret into a habit he can't stop, until the girlfriend decides she wants in too.” Step here means by marriage only, and all characters are adults.

The pitch works because of the distance. Twenty feet is close enough that a secret can slip and far enough that it just might not. The synopsis then ends on a turn: the girlfriend stops being the person kept in the dark and decides she wants in. Candy does not publish plots for individual episodes, so we will not guess how the five episodes play out.

Summer gives the story a built-in clock. It is a stay with an end date, in one apartment, with three people and one thing nobody is supposed to talk about. Daisy Brannock is the Candy AI character in the cast. We list the series in our Stepsister category alongside similar titles.

Is BAD Step-Sister free?

Partly. Episode 1 plays with no sign-up at all. Episode 2 is free once you create a free Candy account. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 cost 12 tokens each, and the episode list on this page shows each one.

If you want BAD Step-Sister free episodes, that is the legitimate route: two of the five, straight from the source, with nothing to download. Our guide to what is free on Candy Shorts explains the account step in more detail.

Is BAD Step-Sister Episode 3 worth 12 tokens?

Episode 3 is the first paid episode at 12 tokens, and Episodes 4 and 5 cost the same. Finishing the series after the two free episodes takes 36 tokens. Candy's Premium plan includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole run fits inside a single month's allowance.

Premium is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99; the Candy Shorts price page has the longer plans. Charges show up as “EverAI”, because Candy is run by EverAI Limited.

Our view: it is a modest bill for a five-episode story, and the free episodes are the real test. If Episode 2 leaves you wanting to know what the girlfriend decides, 36 tokens is fair. If it does not, stop there and you have spent nothing. Our score is in the box above.

What does Episode 1 look like?

This one is animated. The opening frames are illustrated in an anime style rather than shot as live action. They show an apartment door with a peephole, soft late-day light sliding across a pale wall, and a pastel palette of cream, butter yellow and shirt blue, with cow-print accessories as a playful styling touch.

The camera favors tight, expressive close-ups in vertical phone format, from a hand at a door to two people framed close together. Linework is clean, shading is smooth and the palette holds steady from frame to frame, which gives it a polished, consistent look. The trade-off is that tight framing shows little of the apartment itself.

If you usually watch live-action Candy Shorts, expect a different feel: more stylized, more graphic, and lighter in tone. If you already like anime-style romance and comedy, the look is a plus, and Episode 1 lets you check it at no cost.

Where can you watch BAD Step-Sister officially?

Only on Candy. The series lives on Candy Shorts, and that is the one place with the real episodes and the subtitles, which come in 7 languages. Our how to watch Candy Shorts guide walks through the steps.

Who will enjoy it?

Fans of secret-triangle stories and anime-style animation, who like the tension of a hidden thing in a small space. Candy has not marked it Spicy, so the charge comes from the premise and the risk of being caught. Everything happens close to home, in one apartment, which keeps the stakes personal.
