Mona's Obsession: Story, Cast, Episodes and Token Costs

The Mona's Obsession Candy Shorts series is a five-episode story about a stepbrother Mona can't stand and can't stop teasing. Episode 1 plays on Candy with no sign-up, and Episode 2 is free with a free account, so you can see whether the tension works for you before you spend a token.

This page covers the story, the cast, the token bill and what Episode 1 looks like.

What is Mona's Obsession about?

Candy's synopsis reads: “Mona can’t stand her smug, mess-making stepbrother, yet she’s always nosing around when he’s by, and won’t ever waste an opportunity to tease him - perhaps all the tension needs some sort of release...” Her stepbrother is a relative by marriage only, and all characters are adults.

It is a classic push and pull: she says she cannot stand him and then keeps turning up wherever he is. The humor is in the contradiction, and the tension is in what happens when one of them stops pretending. Candy does not publish plots for individual episodes, so we will not guess how the five episodes unfold.

Mona is played by Mona Newman, a Candy AI character with her own Mona Newman character page. Candy tags the series taboo, and we file it in our Stepsister category alongside similar titles. Some people search for it as Monas Obsession, without the apostrophe; it is the same series.

Is Mona's Obsession free?

Partly. Episode 1 plays with no sign-up at all. Episode 2 is free once you create a free Candy account. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 cost 12 tokens each, and the episode list on this page shows each one.

If you want Mona's Obsession free episodes, that is the legitimate route: two of the five, straight from the source. Our guide to what is free on Candy Shorts explains the account step in more detail.

Is Mona's Obsession Episode 3 worth 12 tokens?

Episode 3 is the first paid episode at 12 tokens, and Episodes 4 and 5 cost the same. Finishing the series after the two free episodes takes 36 tokens. Candy's Premium plan includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole run fits inside a single month's allowance.

Premium is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99; the Candy Shorts price page has the longer plans. Charges show up as “EverAI”, because Candy is run by EverAI Limited.

Our view: it is a modest bill for a five-episode story, and the free episodes are the real test. If Episode 2 leaves you wanting to see what happens when the teasing runs out of road, 36 tokens is fair. If it does not, stop there and you have spent nothing. Our score is in the box above.

What does Episode 1 look like?

The opening frames are bright and intimate. The setting is a bedroom in warm morning light: sun slanting through blinds to stripe a white wall, a bookshelf stacked with DVDs and books, a rumpled blue bedspread, and soft pastel pink as the main accent color.

The camera is a first-person view in vertical phone format: a laptop and a pair of hands sit at the bottom of the frame, so you watch the scene from the stepbrother's seat. Depth of field is shallow, the grade is soft and cinematic, and the look is consistent from frame to frame. It feels more like a candid home video than a glossy ad, which suits a story built on everyday friction.

Where can you watch Mona's Obsession Candy Shorts officially?

Only on Candy. The series lives on Candy Shorts, and that is the one place with the real episodes and the subtitles, which come in 6 languages. Our how to watch Candy Shorts guide walks through the steps.

Looking for Mona's Obsession full episodes on another site? Re-uploads outside Candy are partial, fake or scams, and some are built to get you to click something that is not a video. The free, legal way in is Episode 1 with no sign-up, then Episode 2 with a free account.

Who will enjoy it?

Viewers who like bickering with something else simmering underneath, in a bright, everyday setting that keeps the focus on the two of them. Candy has not marked it Spicy, so the charge comes from the teasing and the premise.
