The Witch Who Made Me King With Vexrated: Story and Cost

The Witch Who Made Me King is a five-episode Candy Shorts series with Vexrated, a dark-fantasy bargain story with a seven-day deadline. Episode 1 plays on Candy with no sign-up, and Episode 2 is free with a free account, so you can see how it opens before you spend a token.

This page covers the story, the cast, the token bill and what Episode 1 looks like. It is shot like a fantasy film, which is a big part of the appeal.

What is The Witch Who Made Me King about?

Candy's synopsis reads: “In a realm of steel and shadow, a bastard knight has seven days to seize the crown. From the Blackwood comes a witch of silk and sin—she’ll give him every kneeling… if he gives her every night. Power. Lust. Betrayal. Watch the throne burn.” All characters are adults.

It is a classic fantasy bargain with a clock on it. A bastard knight gets seven days to seize the crown, and a witch offers him every kneeling in exchange for his nights. The synopsis names three themes outright, power, lust and betrayal, which is a fair summary of the tone to expect. Candy does not publish plots for individual episodes, so we will not guess how the five episodes unfold. You may also see it shortened to Witch Who Made Me King; it is the same series.

Vexrated is the Candy AI character in the cast. Candy tags the series fantasy, and we file it in our Fantasy category.

Is The Witch Who Made Me King free?

Partly. Episode 1 plays with no sign-up at all. Episode 2 is free once you create a free Candy account. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 cost 12 tokens each, and the episode list on this page shows each one.

If you want The Witch Who Made Me King free episodes, that is the legitimate route: two of the five, straight from the source. Our guide to what is free on Candy Shorts explains the account step in more detail.

Is The Witch Who Made Me King Episode 3 worth 12 tokens?

Episode 3 is the first paid episode at 12 tokens, and Episodes 4 and 5 cost the same. Finishing the series after the two free episodes takes 36 tokens. Candy's Premium plan includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole run fits inside a single month's allowance.

Premium is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99; the Candy Shorts price page has the longer plans. Charges show up as “EverAI”, because Candy is run by EverAI Limited.

Our view: it is a modest bill for a five-episode story, and the free episodes are the real test. If Episode 2 leaves you wanting to know whether the knight keeps the crown, 36 tokens is fair. If it does not, stop there and you have spent nothing. Our score is in the box above.

What does Episode 1 look like?

The opening frames look like a fantasy feature. The first is a misty birch forest with shafts of pale sunlight cutting through the trees, seen from a rider's seat: a horse's head, an armored glove and a sword blade crossing the frame, with a figure in black hooded robes waiting on the path ahead.

The second is a tight close-up of a hooded face, a silver crescent circlet and a gleaming blade in the foreground. The third moves into a stone cathedral hall, where a crown is lowered onto a man's head in layered gold robes, while onlookers in fur and velvet crowd the edge of the frame. The grade is rich and filmic, the costumes are detailed, and the look stays consistent from the forest to the throne room.

Where can you watch The Witch Who Made Me King Candy Shorts officially?
