One Bed With My Roommate on Candy Shorts: Story, Cast, Cost

One Bed With My Roommate is a five-episode Candy Shorts series with Yama Gito, built on a spare room, a crush and a bet nobody planned. Episode 1 plays on Candy with no sign-up, and Episode 2 is free with a free account, so you can test the setup before you spend a token.

This page covers the story, the cast, the token bill and what Episode 1 looks like. It is also an animated series, so the look is worth knowing before you press play.

What is One Bed With My Roommate about?

Candy's synopsis reads: “Broke Ren rents his spare room to his crush Yama—then her wild best friend Mira moves in and turns his bed into a bet. As the women play dirtier, Mira's dangerous ex resurfaces to collect what he's owed.” All characters are adults.

That is a lot of setup in two sentences. The romance starts with a favor, becomes a three-person household and then picks up an outside threat. Money is part of it from the first word, since Ren is broke, and the bet gives the story a game to play and a debt that someone has to pay. Candy does not publish plots for individual episodes, so we will not guess how the five episodes unfold.

Yama Gito is the Candy AI character in the cast. Candy tags the series fantasy, and we file it in our Fantasy category. For more under that label, try The Witch Who Made Me King or Vampire's Lust.

Is One Bed With My Roommate free?

Partly. Episode 1 plays with no sign-up at all. Episode 2 is free once you create a free Candy account. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 cost 12 tokens each, and the episode list on this page shows each one.

If you want One Bed With My Roommate free episodes, that is the legitimate route: two of the five, straight from the source. Our guide to what is free on Candy Shorts explains the account step in more detail.

Is One Bed With My Roommate Episode 3 worth 12 tokens?

Episode 3 is the first paid episode at 12 tokens, and Episodes 4 and 5 cost the same. Finishing the series after the two free episodes takes 36 tokens. Candy's Premium plan includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole run fits inside a single month's allowance.

Premium is $9.99 for the first month, then $13.99; the Candy Shorts price page has the longer plans. Charges show up as “EverAI”, because Candy is run by EverAI Limited.

Our view: it is a modest bill for a five-episode story, and the free episodes are the real test. If Episode 2 leaves you wanting to know how the bet and the ex play out, 36 tokens is fair. If it does not, stop there and you have spent nothing. Our score is in the box above.

What does Episode 1 look like?

This one is animated. The opening frames are illustrated in a bright, detailed anime style rather than shot as live action. The setting is a sunny apartment: a wooden kitchen with a breakfast counter and green-cushioned stools, a window onto trees and blue sky, hanging plants, and a living room couch scattered with breakfast plates and mugs.

Morning sunlight pours through the windows and pools across the floorboards, giving the whole set a warm, golden cast. Colors are saturated but soft, the linework is clean, and the backgrounds carry plenty of lived-in detail, from refrigerator magnets to a stack of dishes in the sink. The look is consistent across the three frames. The mood is cheerful and domestic, a pleasant contrast with a synopsis that promises a bet and a dangerous ex.

Where can you watch One Bed With My Roommate officially?

Only on Candy. The series lives on Candy Shorts, and that is the one place with the real episodes and the subtitles, which come in 6 languages. Our how to watch Candy Shorts guide walks through the steps.

Looking for One Bed With My Roommate full episodes on another site? Re-uploads outside Candy are partial, fake or scams, and some are built to get you to click something that is not a video. The free, legal way in is Episode 1 with no sign-up, then Episode 2 with a free account.

Who will enjoy it?

Viewers who like anime-style romance with a sunny, slice-of-life look and a story that adds stakes as it goes. Candy has not marked it Spicy, so the charge comes from the premise and the bet.
